Up: Friday night at our show’s taping, feeling proud of my hard week’s work.

Down: Driving home on Friday night with no plans except to sit at home and watch TV… and feeling pretty damn lonely.

Up: Drinking a nice glass of Pinot Noir while watching Grey’s Anatomy and all of a sudden, not feeling that bad staying home.

Down:  Waking up early on Saturday morning – AGAIN.

Up: My best friend coming over to hang out with beautiful pink roses and a bottle of La Crema pinot – my fave.

Down: 102 degrees – ALL WEEKEND

Up: A fun movie and dinner with three of my best girls

Down: Bursting into tears in between a sip of a margie and a bite of a taco at dinner.  And not being able to stop until going to bed.

Up: Having my sister spend the night and having breakfast with her this morning.

Down: The horrible pit in my stomach ALL DAY anxiously awaiting saying goodbye to C.

Up: Stopping at an animal shelter to see what kitties they have available… didn’t find mine yet but got me very excited!

Down: Crying when C got out of his car to drop things off at my apt.

Up: Laughing and enjoying my time with C for a couple of hours before I dropped him off.

Down: CRYING, CRYING, and MORE CRYING after I drove away.

I’ve been trying to be positive lately, so at least you have a number of ups to go with your downs. Also, you’re getting a kitty? So exciting!

sometimes kitties make everything better. been thinking of you, considering we’re both in similar situations. i’m hoping that both of us have something great coming in our near future.

I can’t help looking at this like it’s really good that you’re seeing the positives despite it being so hard. I think a kitty is a very good idea!

Sending lots and lots of hugs. It will get better with time, I promise.

I totally agree that a kitty will help. Pets are known to be great therapy! I agree with Stephanie, it sounds like you have a lot of ups, which is great! The crying… yeah, that’ll probably happen for a while, but it’ll start to happen less and less, so that’s good!

Comment by Trace

The crying is completely normal and will get better. Promise. But your ups and wonderful and I’m so glad you can find them during this rough time.

Also, 102? Might be a down for you but I’m jealous!

The hard part is over! You can do it! You have all the support in the world. Keep your head up!

That’s good that you still have so many positives to look to =) Also, I’m with Molly, I’ll take 102!

This is good for you. You will have an unbelievable amount of coping while he is away.

i’m so glad there are so many people with you to give you support. and seriously, i always find crying is the best method to get anything out, that and sleep. hope you start to feel better.

I like this post, you’d have to admit though, the quality of the ups far outweigh the downs.

again, try to take good care of youself. I’ll keep you in my thoughts. Hang in there.

Oh honey, I hope that by the time he gets back the two of you are stronger and better people :) You both deserve that.

It’s only natural sweetie! Give it some time, and things will be fine. I know you will be.

PS Cat? No, no, no! Get a dog :) Hehe.

Aw what a sweet support system you have. Pink roses? Breakfast and sleepovers? A soon to come cuddly kitty? That’s awesome. Also, if you really try and focus on the “ups,” I’m sure you’ll start feeling positive from all those good vibes in no time.
